7.0. Petty Cash

Creating Petty Cash

Petty Cash will create accounting entries.  Petty Cash module is the same as the non-trade payee type in payment voucher module.
The petty cash module allows for separate permissions in the payment modules.

STEPS:
  1. Click PURCHASES > PETTY CASH
  2. Click 'NEW'.
  3. Select PAYEE
  4. MODE select - 'Petty Cash' (Please note that Payment Mode must be set up prior, else there will be no such 'Petty Cash' Mode.)
  5. Fill in Relevant Fields for transactions.

    ACCOUNT - Select relevant account.
    TAX RATE - Some commonly used ones include: TX9, ZP (Non GST registered companies with no GST), OP (Out of scope purchases).
    TOTAL - Total amount for the transaction as of original document (receipt).

  6. Click 'ADD.'


IRAS Compliance 

For Non-Trade transactions occurring outside the system, the following columns must be filled in for IRAS Compliance, if required.

Columns to fill:
  1. Company Name
  2. UEN
  3. Document Date
  4. Document Number
  5. GST Registration Number/ Permit Number 


Different Tax Codes 

This sample below is a staff claim, it is to be noted that for some bills, not all values are taxable. 
Just because a transaction is under the same account, does not mean that they share the same tax code.
