3.0. Searching on Documents

Searching Function



When using the system, it's important to be able to search for previously created documents effectively and accurately, as we often need to refer to them for information.
For example, you might need to find out what you supplied to a particular customer last month for a specific project.
Within each module, you'll find a search box that allows you to enter specific criteria to find the document you need.

STEPS:
  1. Go to SETUP Activity
  2. Click ACCOUNTS
  3. Click Chart of Account Module To open up Chart of Account Module. You may use any other modules.
  4. SEARCH Box enter loan in
  5. SEARCH Button
    Listing has shortened. It has filtered for description that contain ‘loan’
  6. CLEAR Button
    This is to show the entire list
  7. SEARCH Box enter 1000
    Code containing ‘1000’ has been filtered instead. 
  8. Click SEARCH Button
    Note that the search function will filter both codes and descriptions

Advance Search on Documents



For example, you might search for a specific item description or model number to find related customer records, or search for an invoice amount to reconcile a payment received in your bank account. In such a case, you can use the advanced search function.

To perform a more detailed search for documents, click the hyperlink below the search box. This will open a dialog box where you can use advanced search criteria, including:
Document date, Document number, Customer name, Customer code, Reference, Subject, Employee, code or name, Description, Remark, Lot number, Address, Reference one, and more.

  2. Click INVOICE
  3. Click ADVANCE SEARCH You can search by Date, Document, Customer, etc.
  4. Click CRITERIA drop down box
  5. Select BETWEEN
  6. Select FROM date: 1 Jan 2016
  7. Select TO date: 31 Mar 2016
  8. Click OK
    Here you will search documents that fall with Jan to Mar 2016.
  9. Click ADVANCE SEARCH
  10. Select CRITERIA drop down box From the Criteria list selection, you can see that you can search for exact match, range or containing
